Will Power Motors
A neighborhood art studio and wood shop dedicated to teaching kids to design and build full-sized operating soap box cars. Kids who otherwise may not be interested in art are drawn in from virtually all cultural and economic backgrounds. Other workshops offered in the studio during its four years of existence include diorama design, filmmaking, storytelling and sound sculpture.
Over 1,000 kids made cars in this program over ten years through the Bay Area Discovery Museum coordinated by Nina Sazevich. During early days Nat Parsons was an essential highly talented assistant educator.
