River in the Hood

The inspiring sight and sound of falling water draws in members of a diverse community to build miniature bridges, boats and landscapes along a complex, theatrical 100 foot long model river. Created in a storefront in a little known working class neighborhood of San Francisco called Portola. Supported by the Potrero Nuevo Fund Prize. Launched with the essential work of multi-talented assistant David Heatley. This is the project that would eventually morph into the company Riveropolis.
